Promotion Terms and Conditions
PROMOTION SUMMARY
George FM and Singapore Airlines (SIA) are giving a listener the chance to win a trip for two people
and a George FM Announcer (flying Singapore Airlines) from Auckland airport to one of five preselected
Singapore Airlines destinations return, accommodation and tickets to a preselected festival.
HOW TO ENTER
1. The promotion entry period begins on, 25th September 2017 at 6am and entries close at 3pm
on 20th October 2017 (“Promotion Period”).
2. George FM hosts will ask listeners to register on their trip of choice. Listeners may register to
the George FM announcer trip they’d like to go on the George FM webpage, georgefm.co.nz.
Entries can be entered at any time during the promotional period.
3. Entrants will be able to enter only once per person during the Promotion Period. Multiple
entries are not allowed.
4. Entrants must be over 18 years of age.
THE PRIZE
The winner will be randomly selected from all valid entries by MediaWorks (the “Winner”). The Winner
will be selected, advised and confirmed on Monday 29th May 2017 by phone call live on George FM
Breakfast show with Clint, Kara & Tammy.
The Winner will receive the Prize, which consists of:
The Prize-winner of the promotion will receive two (2) return Economy Class tickets departing from
Auckland to the destination selected in the prize draw, exclusive of any applicable taxes such as local
departure tax, government fees and other airport taxes that may occur.

i. Accommodation around trip and event dates, some events have accommodation
provided. Arrangements will be discussed between George FM Promotions and Winner.
ii. Two tickets to preselected event.
5. If the Winner is unable to redeem the Prize on the dates above then they will forfeit the Prize
and the Prize will be re drawn at MediaWorks’ discretion.
6. Winner and chosen travelling companion must:
a) hold a current passport, with at least 6 months remaining on it to enter winning trips
Country;
b) have no prior convictions that could stop them from entering winning trips Country;
and
c) both be over 18 years of age at the date of travel.
7. Except as explicitly detailed above the Winner and their chosen companion are responsible for
paying all additional costs associated with the Prize including transport, meal costs, spending
money, passports, visas, insurance and all other incidentals. The Winner must hold a valid
credit card to present on arrival at the accommodation.
8. The Winner and their companion are responsible for transport from their residence to the
Auckland International Airport for flight departure and from Auckland International Airport to
their residence upon returning to New Zealand and all transfers in Singapore.
9. All elements of this prize are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for monetary value.
Winners will also not be entitled to a refund for any unused portion of the Prize.
10. The provision of air travel tickets is subject to the following conditions:
a. The issuance of tickets is subject to seat availability.
b. Flights must be taken on the dates provided by Mediaworks and Singapore Airlines
c. Winner must pay all airport taxes and other surcharges where applicable.
d. Excess baggage waiver will not be granted.
e. Economy Class tickets are not upgradeable to Business Class unless the Winner and
companion wish to do so at their own expense.
f. The tickets will only be issued if all sectors are confirmed.
g. Winner is responsible for any costs incurred in transporting passengers to or from their
selected airport of departure.
h. Once the tickets are issued, requests to change passenger names and/or travelling
sectors made two working days or less before the date of travel will be subject to SIA’s
approval.
i. If any change is approved, a charge of NZD75.00 per change will be levied per change.

j. Notwithstanding any validity date on the ticket, all travel on tickets issued must be
utilised in full by 13 November 2017.
11. All registered persons information will be stored as a data base for both MediaWorks Limited
and Singapore Airline to be used for promotion activity only
12. Travel is restricted to SIA operated services only.
13. Travellers are expected to observe the following conditions as part of the utilisation of travel:
a) Be neatly and appropriately attired when travelling;
b) Not carry, on their person, in their luggage or carry-on baggage, any contraband or goods
which are prohibited by the laws of Singapore or the country of their final destination, or
goods which are unsuitable for carriage on a commercial aircraft;
c) Observe all directions of SIA’s ground staff and air crew at all times;
d) Comply with the requirements of immigration and customs authorities in each country;
e) Comply with the laws of the jurisdiction they are visiting.
14. Frequent Flyer mileage cannot be accrued.
15. Charges for excess baggage shall apply where a passenger seeks to carry more than their
entitlement of luggage. In such cases, SIA will not be liable for any charges incurred by the
passenger.
16. Tickets are valid for the period specified on the ticket. Unused travel at the expiry of the
validity period cannot be refunded or re-utilised. Once a journey commences (i.e. the point at
which the first flight coupon is redeemed for travel), the utilisation of the commitment for free
tickets is deemed to have been made against the provision stated above.
17. Travel is not convertible to cash and does not include any departure, airport and Government
taxes and charges.
18. SIA reserves its right to impose particular flight embargoes during periods of heavy demand as
is required commercially from time to time.
19. Travellers must organise their own visas and requisite travel documentation (such as relevant
valid international drivers’ licenses) for trips and any visa or passport charges are their sole
responsibility.

20. SIA cannot be held responsible for the traveller being unable to participate in the travel due to
visa or other restrictions. Any fines, penalties, payments or expenditures incurred as a result of
such travel documents not meeting the requirements of those authorities will be the sole
responsibility of the traveller/s. At all times, it will be the responsibility of the traveller to ensure
that his/her passport is in order and that he/she has the necessary visa clearances to enter the
country of destination and, if required, any transit point.
21. Tickets are considered ‘staff’ tickets, thus passengers travelling will be subject to applicable
staff priority grades and conditions of travel, including but not limited to: using staff check-in
counters in Singapore, no lounge access, subject to dress code, no rerouting/hotel
accommodation or meals in case of flight disruption, subject to on-load priority in case of
overbooking.
22. In the event of a missed connection resulting from a flight delay, passengers will be rebooked
on the next available SIA operated flight to the same destination. In such cases, SIA will not be
liable for any additional expenses incurred and/or the cost of alternate travel arrangements (i.e.
outside of SIA operated flights) made by passengers as a result of the delay.
23. Tickets are non-transferable and must be issued only in the correct name of the person
travelling.
