Synopsis:
Finding Vivian Maier looks at one of the most riveting stories of the art world. This provocative and intriguing documentary follows amateur historian John Maloof as he pieces together the complex puzzle of Vivian Maier’s life and work, resulting in her posthumous reputation as one of America’s most accomplished street photographers.
After discovering a previously unknown cache of 100,000 photographs in a storage locker auction, Maloof teams up with producer Charlie Siskel and embarks on a journey to uncover the mystery behind the images. As they shuttle between New York City, France and Chicago chasing after clues, every answer they find reveals a new set of questions about the woman behind the art.
