Scotland’s biggest comedy export, Kevin Bridges, is finally coming to New Zealand, with a four-date tour of the country’s main centres.
A genuine overnight success, going from making his debut at The Edinburgh Playhouse on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow in 2009, immediately followed by selling out his entire Edinburgh Festival run in just one day, Kevin Bridges is a modern comedy superstar.
Legendary comic Billy Connolly calls him “brilliant”, critics call him a “Must See Act” (Daily Mirror) and “Positively Exhilarating” (The Guardian), and audiences can’t get enough – his 2012 tour sold a staggering 45,000 tickets on the first day and the DVD of that show has moved over 300,000 copies to date, with his last UK tour in 2016 selling close to half a million tickets.

Not only is he a classy comedy act, Bridges has proved he’s also a good sort, taking part in ‘The Night Of Comedy’ benefit gig alongside Michael McIntyre, Katherine Ryan, Alan Carr, and other top comedians in the wake of the Grenfell Tower tragedy, with all proceeds from the show being donated to those affected by the fire.
''Thoughtful, charming and with an eye for detail, at once savage and sensitive, he is the most exciting Scottish comedian since Billy Connolly. An unalloyed joy from start to finish''– Broadwaybaby.com.
"Inventive, incisive stuff – astute observations, social awareness and sharp lines" – Chortle.
