The Radio Sport Draft for 2018 has begun and it’s your chance to Shoot for Sydney.
To join the draft, listen for your chance to text SYDNEY plus your details to 5009.
If you’re drafted we’ll fly you to Auckland and get you to Spark Arena for the SkyCity Breakers vs Illawarra Hawks, where you’ll shoot it out at half time against one other fan in the stand, to win your way to Sydney.

Courtside seats at the Breakers last regular game of the season against the Sydney Kings at the Qudos Bank Arena

Specific Terms & Conditions
Promotion summary
- Radio Sport are giving you the chance to shoot on-court at the SkyCity Breakers match on
February 4th 2018 for a chance to win a trip to Sydney to see the Breakers play on February 18th
2018.
- There are 2 chances to be at Spark Arena on Feb 4th to shoot for the grand prize trip to Sydney,
comprising:
1. One (1) on-air finalist
2. One(1) on-site finalist
Dates/Mechanic
On-air finalist:
- The campaign opens for entries at 06:00 on Monday 15 January 2018
- Entries close at 19:00 on Thursday 25 January 2018
- To get into the draw, Radio Sport shows across the period will solicit for listeners to text the
word “Sydney” followed by their name to 5009
- The on-air announcer will then randomly select a text who will be placed in the draft (the pot
of all finalists across the promo period)
- The on-air winner will be drawn from all names in the draft and announced with the Radio
Sport Breakfast on Friday 26 January 2018
On-site finalists:
- The campaign opens for entries at the SkyCity Breakers vs Illawarra Hawks match on Sunday 4
th
February 2018 at Spark Arena
- To get into the draw, entrants must register with Radio Sport staff before the match tips off
- Radio Sport will randomly draw 1 x person, and announce their name with a follow up phone
call after the 1st quarter. Radio Sport reserves the right to re-draw and contact a new onsite
winner if contact can’t be made with them after two attempts are made.
Shoot for Sydney Contesting
- Our on-air winner will get 60 seconds to shoot as many hoops as possible from the key hole on
court at half time.
- Then our on-site finalist will also get 60 seconds to shoot as many hoops as possible from the
key hole on court at half time.
- The person with the most successful shots will win the Grand Prize, a trip for two to Sydney.
Prizes
On-air finalist:
- The finalist will be flown to Auckland on February 4
th 2018 with one (1) nights’ accommodation
at Skycity and general admission tickets to the match against Illawarra Hawks on February 4
th
2018 at Spark Arena
- The finalist will be given access to the court at half time to shoot for Sydney vs the on-site
finalist.
On-site finalist:
- The on-site finalist will be given access to the court at half time to shoot for Sydney vs the onair
finalist.
Grand Prize – trip to Sydney:
- Return economy flights for 2 to Sydney
- Twin share accommodation in Sydney for a minimum of 2 nights in a minimum 3-star hotel
- Tickets courtside for the SkyCity Breakers vs Sydney Kings on February 18
th 2018
