SPECIFIC TERMS – ASB ‘For the Love of Tennis’
1. By entering this competition, you accept these terms and conditions and agree to follow the instructions on how to
enter (if there is any inconsistency between the information on how to enter and these terms and conditions, these
terms and conditions prevail). References to “terms and conditions” mean these terms and conditions and the privacy
policy below
2. Entry is open to all residents of New Zealand. NZME, and their immediate families are ineligible to enter or win
3. To enter, submit your story, photo or video showing how passionate you are about tennis (up to 25MB per file) to
www.nzherald.co.nz/win.
4. Entry is open Mon 3 Dec 9am – Monday 17 Dec 2018, 5pm.
5. Winner will be decided by Kent, Nathan and Marc from Radio Sport in consultation with ASB – they will choose their
favourite/most creative submission.
6. There are 4 prizes to be won.
7. Winner will be announced on Wed 19 Dec 2018 by phone call from the Radio Sport Breakfast show (Kent, Nathan and
Marc).
8. All entries become the property of NZME and ASB. Videos, stories or photos may be used by various NZME and ASB
channels to promote the campaign.
9. All 4 prizes consist of:
• $250 spending money
• Return flights to Auckland (if applicable) for two people

• Return airport transfers
• Two hosted tickets to either the ASB Classic Men’s final or the ASB Classic Women’s final

10. Prizes must be taken as stated and cannot be deferred
11. In event of rain ASB will endeavour to accommodate the winners
12. Winners needs to make their own way to their nearest airport
13. Prizes are not transferrable and not redeemable for cash
14. By accepting the prize the winners agree to participate in any publicity arrangements that ASB may reasonably require.
This includes but it not limited to public relations, social media and all relevant ASB Channels.
15. NZME is not responsible for any lost, late, delayed, incorrect or misdirected entries
16. If the prize winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize, the winner will forfeit the prize and NZME will
make a redraw
17. NZME’s decision in relation to any aspect of the competition is final and no correspondence will be entered
18. The winner acknowledges that, to the extent permitted by law, NZME and ASB accept no responsibility or liability
(including in negligence) to any person for any harm, damage, illness, injury, cost, loss, damage, expense or claim
which may occur as a result of the winner winning or using the prize. The winner accepts and uses the prize at his or
her own risk and agrees to indemnify NZME and ASB against all costs, losses, damages, expenses and liabilities
(including for loss of reputation and goodwill) and any claim arising from their own actions in any way in connection
with the prize
19. If the prize winner is under the age of 18 the prize will be awarded to the prize winner’s parent or legal guardian. By
accepting the prize, the winner’s parent or legal guardian agrees to these terms and conditions
20. NZME, and ASB reserve the right (in their absolute discretion) to extend, postpone, or cancel the competition and to
update these terms and conditions on without notice
21. The prize winner may be required to sign a declaration confirming their eligibility to accept the prize NZME and ASB
reserve the right to request the prize winners to provide proof of identity at the nominated prize collection address.
Identification considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of NZME. To accept the prize the winner must
agree to relevant third-party terms and conditions relating to the prize
22. Travel dates are either Sat 5 – Sun 6 Jan 2019 (Women’s Final) or Sat 12 – Sun 13 Jan 2019 (Men’s Final).
23. Travel is non-transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash
24. Other conditions may apply and will be advised at the time of booking
25. Additional costs including and not limited to travel insurance, food, spending money, transfers, departure taxes (if
any), connecting flights and other incidentals are the responsibility of the winner.
