CubaDupa is a vibrant street festival that celebrates the epic creative spirit of Cuba Street and the wider Wellington community. CubaDupa is a uniquely Wellington festival - a festival that couldn’t happen anywhere else.
CubaDupa is the most extraordinary street arts festival in New Zealand. It attracts over 100,000 people from all walks of life and around the country to ‘get on up’ during the day and ‘get on down’ in the evening. The line between performer and audience becomes blurred as people dress-up, join in workshops, follow parades and dance in the city streets.
International acts mix with New Zealand's world-class local talent to present a stunning free event. Restaurants spill into the streets to create a community of eating, drinking and dancing in roads and laneways filled with activity, music, dance and theatre.
