The next time someone asks you "where can you find the world's best chocolate?" look them square in the eye and answer "Nelson, New Zealand."
Truth be told, it's Nelson who can proudly lay claim to New Zealand's own 'bean to bar' chocolate makers, Hogarth. This delicious little bar is exceeding expectation and steadily taking the chocolate world by storm, one taste and it's little wonder why Hogarth collected a string of international accolades at last year's International Chocolate Awards.
Each deliciously different bar, lovingly-crafted by founders Karl and Marina Hogarth, uses only the finest raw ingredients, like organic cacao beans, organic sugar and organic cocoa butter. Chocolate-lovers will be spoiled for choice, with bars created using sustainably-sourced cocoa from all over the globe, including Peru, Haiti, Madagascar, Fiji, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Bolivia and Venezuela.

Hogarth highlight their Single Origins dark chocolate bars using tried and true chocolate-making techniques; gentle roasting in the shell, winnowing, stone grinding, ageing the chocolate to reveal hidden flavour and hand moulding, before hand-wrapping each little individual bar.
With this delightful little chocolatier from sunny Nelson now exporting to the UK, France, USA, Japan, Hong Kong and Australia – it's safe to expect big things from the little bar that could.
