Metro and the Waiheke Vintage Festival are giving you the chance to win a fantastic weekend break on Waiheke, the island of wine. Each week until the festival begins on March 29 we’re giving away a new getaway package, each including two nights accomodation on Waiheke Island, return Fullers ferry crossing and lunch at a Waiheke winery restaurant.
The inaugural Waiheke Vintage Festival is a celebration of the 2014 wine vintage, with more than 50 events scheduled at 17 different vineyards over the festival week. Meet the wine makers and experience grape picking and crushing, attend technical wine-making tours, enjoy opera and jazz concerts, visit ceramic and sculpture exhibitions, and much more.
Food and wine events include degustation dinners, wine and food-matching events, and special lunch menus; participating restaurants include Te Motu, Peacock Sky, Mudbrick, and Metro Top 50 restaurants Poderi Crisci and Te Whau. Fullers buses will run between the vineyards all week.
