You’ll travel the first 16km along the Forgotten World Railway in specially modified golf carts, travelling through 5 tunnels (including the longest one – 1.5km) before stopping for a delicious snack and returning back to base. A unique experience which transports you back through history, hearing tall tales associated with the unique landscape. The giveaway also includes one night at the Forgotten World Motel in Taumarunui.

Please note: the Forgotten World Adventure seasons run from October to April, so the winner can book in their trip where dates and availability permit.
Important information
You must be able to travel to the Taumarunui Base located at 9 Hakiaha Street, Taumarunui.
Included in your day:
Shuttles to/from our Taumarunui Base out to the RailCarts at Okahukura, morning or afternoon tea and of course your RailCart
What to bring:
In this region the weather is changeable and it’s best to prepare for all conditions no matter the season. Layered clothing with a good wind/rain jacket or shell is ideal. The RailCarts have plastic side-curtains that provide reasonable rain protection.
It is suggested the following should be taken with you on the RailCart:
Sunglasses, Camera, Binoculars
Water and extra snacks if required
Warm thermal/merino clothing, including hat, scarf and gloves
Sturdy footwear (no jandals) with warm socks
Warm windproof jacket with hood even in fine weather
100% Rainproof coat and over-trousers if rain is predicted
