If you're ever on the hunt for a casual beer and some seriously delicious shared plates, we suggest you look no further than Auckland's revived Viaduct. Among the city's most exciting new offerings is The Nightingale – a brand new craft beer pop-up, offering everything from live music to stand-up comedy.
Here, the menu on offer places a hearty focus on casual comfort food, with dishes designed to complement the plentiful craft beer offerings.
The team behind the project have previously been at the helm of a number of popular local bars and eateries, including Cassette Number Nine in Auckland’s Vulcan Lane and Queenstown’s World Bar. It's safe to say that new owners John Hennessy and Matty Yates are the best duo for the job.
With The Nightingale likely to occupy its current post for six months over the chilly winter period, owner John says the goal is to bring something fresh to the Viaduct.
“We’re about good craft beer and food, welcoming service, and a broad line-up of acts, bands and DJs for all types of ears.”
To welcome The Nightingale to the neighbourhood, this week, we're giving one lucky Dish reader the chance to enjoy a night out on us.
