HARRY POTTER 20th ANNIVERSARY ANZ COMPETITION TERMS AND
CONDITIONS:
1. Information on how to enter and the prize form part of these Terms and Conditions. By entering this
competition, you agree to these terms & conditions.
2. No purchase necessary to enter this competition.
3. This competition is open from 00:01 on Thursday 1ST June 2017 (‘Commencement Date’) to 23:59 on
Thursday 31st August 2017 (Closing Date) (The period between the Commencement Date and the
Closing Date shall be known as the ‘Participation Period’). No entries will be accepted after the closing
date
4. ELIGIBILITY: This competition is open to Australian and New Zealand residents aged 14 or over on
1st June 2017. The competition is not open to employees or immediate family of Bloomsbury Publishing
Group (including, Bloomsbury Australia, Bloomsbury USA, Bloomsbury UK or Bloomsbury India).
Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child
(whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece,
nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or first cousin.
5. PARENTAL CONSENT: All Entrants under 18 years of age must have parent or guardian consent to
enter.
6. HOW TO ENTER: To enter the competition please submit the details requested in the competition
form on the website HarryPotter20.com during the Participation Period (including evidence of Parental
Consent if applicable). Only entries submitted in this way will be eligible.
7. Entrants must answer the question “In 100 words or less, describe what the Harry Potter books mean
to you”. The entries will be judged by Bloomsbury Publishing Australia. The most interesting and original
answer will win the major prize.
8. Only one entry per person. . No entrant may win more than one prize.
9. There will be one major prize winner and 20 runners up
10. THE MAJOR PRIZE:
a) A single prize consists of a family travel package for 2 (two) adults and 2 (two) children to the
UK. .
b) Prize includes:
return economy flights to London for 2 (two) adults and 2 (two) children from either
Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Perth or Auckland international airports;
private car transfers to and from London Heathrow airport to a hotel in London;
7 nights’ accommodation in London UK;
a family pass to the Harry Potter exhibition at the British Library
a family pass to The Harry Potter Studio Tour in Leavesden, Watford, Herefordshire,
UK;
train and bus transfers from Central London to Leavesden Studios, Watford,
Herefordshire, UK.
It is the responsibility of the winner to cover travel costs to Sydney, Melbourne,
Brisbane, Perth or Auckland airports.
Spending money is NOT included as part of this package
The prize excludes meals and drinks, visas and personal expenses and anything not
expressly included in the prize.
The major prize winner will also win a set of four 20th Anniversary Hardback editions of
Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, a hardback box set of the Harry Potter books,
a copy of the Deluxe Illustrated Slipcase Edition of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s
Stone and a Harry Potter tote bag.
Total prize package value of up to AU$10,000
c) Additional Terms relating to the Major Prize:
The prize is valid for travel between 20 October 2017 and 28 February 2018
The prize must be redeemed within the validity period or the prize will be
forfeited.
The prize is for two (2) children and two (2) adults only and is not transferable,
available for sale or redeemable for a cash alternative. Prize is subject to
availability.
Bookings must be made no later than fourteen (7) days prior to travel and are
subject to availability.
Travel will be booked by Bloomsbury Australia and Corporate Traveller Travel
Agency.
All flights taken in connection with using the prize are subject to the airline’s
normal terms and conditions of carriage.
Travellers must have full passport valid for at least 6 months at time of travel
The flights are non-redeemable for cash.
Tickets are non-transferable (i.e. no name changes allowed).
Bookings can be requested Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm [AEST] via
Bloomsbury Publishing and Corporate Traveller Travel Agency.
Vouchers may not be sold or offered for resale at a premium (including via
online auction sites) or used for any advertising, promotion or other commercial
purposes (including competitions and trade promotions) or to enhance the
demand for other goods or services, either by the original recipient, or any
subsequent bearer. If a voucher is sold or used in breach of this condition, the
voucher may be withdrawn.
Flights must be used between 20 October 2017, and 28 February 2018
The two return fights to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth or Auckland
airports form part of this prize include any formal connecting flights originating
within Australia or New Zealand.
11. RUNNERS UP: 20 runners up will each win a copy of each of the following books:

13. Bloomsbury may disqualify entries from winning if it has reasonable grounds to suspect that they are

19. WINNER NOTIFICATION: The Prize winners will be notified by email or post by 20th September
2017. Unsuccessful entrants will not be notified. The Prize winners must claim their prize within 14
working days of Bloomsbury sending notification. If the prize is unclaimed after this time, it will lapse and
Bloomsbury reserves the right to offer the unclaimed prize to a substitute winner selected in accordance
with these rules.
20. NO CASH ALTERNATIVES AVAILABLE. Prizes are non-refundable and non-transferable.
