With everything under one roof, whether you’re looking to pick up a new winter hobby, or you’re already an avid crafter, you can weave through a diverse range of exhibitors to pick up some great tips and all the crafty supplies you could ever need.
Special guest, Sophie Wood from Christchurch, will be exhibiting a range of her quilts at the show. Wood is the Canterbury Representative for the New Zealand National Guild Aotearoa Quilter and her passion is quilting and textiles. She paints her works to create pieces that are visually striking and cause people to probe for meaning.
A highlight this year is the Flower Power exhibition, a visually impressive 10-meter long piece of work to celebrate 50 years of the flower power theme. A must see, this work has been created by 207 contributors from over 24 different countries.

Premiering at the show is the textile art exhibition ‘A Matter of Time’, which takes quilting to a whole new level by exploring the fourth dimension. Curated by Brenda Gael Smith, the exhibition is made up of 32 new works and includes work from some of the world’s most famous quilters from Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK and the USA.
The trend of upcycling continues - crowd favourite, Miss Chrissy Keepence, will be sharing her makeover tips so that you can embrace her motto ‘Make, Do and Mend’ and make your old clothes feel new again! Also, ‘Sew So Easy’ will show you how to adjust garments, update your home d?cor with sewing and make your own clothes.
There will be plenty to see and do with exhibitors updating you on the latest and greatest innovations to take their area of the craft world by storm! Learn about the latest in knitting, embroidery, card making, quilting, fashion styling, applique, crochet, accessory and soft toy making and so much more.
What’s more ‘Make & Take’ areas will be set up, so that you can try out new projects and take your creations home!
