Some hidden gems of gardens in the super-city’s Bombay Hills will open for a ramble in two weeks time.
Gardeners in Karaka East, Drury, Drury Hills and Ramarama will welcome visitors to their properties on November 15-16 to help raise funds for the Franklin Hospice.
A lecture series at the Ramarama School features celebrity chef, Jo Seagar, patron of Hospice New Zealand, who will talk about “a little of what you fancy” and Tony Murrell of Mucking In television fame. Xanthe White will talk about landscape design while Lynda Hallinan will give a presentation on ‘the gluttonous gardener’. Television personality Te Radar will talk about ‘a man, a plan and a paddock’.
