Compositions from Mozart to Lloyd Webber have been chosen for a concert dedicated to matters of the heart coinciding with Valentine’s Day. Bach Musica NZ opens its 2016 with an eclectic compilation of music about love.
Mezzo soprano Kayla Collingwood, who recently arrived in Auckland to complete a Masters in Music, will share the stage with the ensemble for the first time.
Avondale-based tenor Derek Hill will perform with the ensemble for the second time. Since his return to New Zealand in 2004 he has sung with every major New Zealand orchestra and performed throughout the world, including at the Royal Palace in Tonga for the late King George Tupou V.
