As i had received a breadmaker for Christmas, I thought I had better put it to use, so I looked around for a simple recipe book to start off my home bread making future.Simon and Alison's book is neat and easy to follow, with a nic selection of recipes of both sweet and savoury breads. I decided on the cinnamon swirls as a morning tea treat for the office staff. I think I maybe chose the most difficult to start with as the soft dough is very sticky, and I have to admit I ruined the first batch by putting it in too warm a place to prove, and was told I had over 'proved' it ... so back to the drawing board... but have to say the second lot came out beautiful, smelled delicious while baking - and according to the rest of the staff tasted delicious too...
So next week I will attempt something savoury, and hope the results are just as good!!
