You can hire a campervan from Queenstown, check out Treble Cone, The Remarkables, Coronet Peak and Cardrona then drive up towards Methven and spend some time at Mt Hutt. Then drive to Picton, catch the ferry to Wellington and from there you can drive up to the awesome Mt Ruapehu and spend some time at the popular Turoa & Whakapapa ski fields!
